20 Years of UNITECH
|UNITECH's idea was born during a dinner. To be more specific, a dinner between ETH Zürich's rector Konrad Osterwalder and Hilti's CEO Pius Baschera. They were discussing the need to better prepare the students for their careers by complementing their traditional studies with foreign exposure and management training, as well as coaching by senior members of the network. Some months later, the first edition of UNITECH came to live in Lake Como with 28 brave students who signed up for an unknown programme at the time. |Fast forward 20 years and 20 student cohorts later, the UNITECH programme has impacted many lives and careers: 1464 students from 12 of top engineering universities in Europe, and 64 Corporate Partners. The programme has been led by 5 Secretary Generals, 7 Programme Officers and 25 amazing coaches.|
Partners have come and gone over these 20 years and here's a special mention to the old-timers, those who were present in the year 2000 and are still with us: ETH Zürich, RWTH Aachen, UPC Barcelona, Evonik and Hilti.
Will you join us?
