UAA Networking Days in Hamburg, empowering the Alumni Network
On occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Unitech Alumni Association, the local groups of Aachen and Berlin jointly laid out an exclusive networking event in Hamburg on October 6th and 7th. Unitechers from 13 years, 4 countries and over 20 different companies followed the invitation and made the event a real success.
The main programme comprised a 9-hours intense networking seminar that was all centered around our participants and designed to stimulate conversation. Starting with a group-based “speed-dating” breakfast, deep discussions about various important topics of today’s society followed and led to an interesting exchange of different experiences and standpoints. Afterwards, there was a series of presentations on both technical as well as career-related subjects that had been prepared by volunteering alumni and our corporate partner Kostal. Eventually, the seminar closed with a workshop about refining the concept of UAA activities in general.
After nine hours of intense exchange and enjoying the exceptionally good weather from the inside, we finally moved out to explore the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. A traditional dinner with an, in fact, very entertaining atmosphere at the famous St. Pauli Landungsbrücken was followed by a visit to one of Hamburg’s rooftop bars at Reeperbahn from where we enjoyed the marvellous view over the city.
On Sunday, we started our day early at the famous and famously expensive Elbphilharmonic Concert Hall for which most of us had received a ticket before. The ingenuity of this architecture is simply incomprehensible and the whole group was amazed by the performance of the Philharmonic State Orchestra of Hamburg.
The event officially ended with a joint lunch, while the remaining group got a very exclusive tour by one of our local participants afterwards.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the event and made it such a great success! Hopefully you all had a nice time in Hamburg, got in touch with many new people and enjoyed our activities. We are very pleased to have been able to further strengthen our network and are looking forward to future initiatives!
